My comments regarding plastics

Mon Apr 30, 2018 2:10 pm

Alright guys, over the weekend I made a comment about plastic fans and I’d like to apologise to anybody I annoyed with my comments, I was annoyed when we got relegated and all these fans left hence my plastic comments but at the end of the day they paid their hard earned money to watch the City, support them throughout that season so who am I to judge, my comments were rather silly, funny thing is a few people I work with have bought City tickets, they’ve not been to many matches but they’re enjoying the ride and what Warnock and the boys are carving, some of these people have young children who will be going so we have so more fans for the future.

I’ve previously made some silly comments on this board but I do enjoy this board and I’m City through and through just like the rest of us, I can’t wait for Sunday, seeing us all in Blue, hopefully beating Reading and sealing our path to the Premiership :bluescarf: :bluebird: :bluescarf:

I think a lot of us have said some things that look a bit silly from time to time. At the start of this season, I predicted that if we were lucky with injuries etc., we could just about scrape into the play offs. A bit out there looking at the league table. Around 20 points out to be a bit more precise. I suppose the forum would be a bit boring if we all agreed with each other about everything. :bluescarf:

The club should move with the times. If large cooperate businesses are under pressure to reduce plastics we should follow suit :laughing6:

Well I don't think you should be too ashamed of what you said.

We sold out for the big guns like the 2 Manchester clubs, the top London clubs and Liverpool. For the rest there were quite a few empty seats. So yes there were quite a few who only came for the top teams.

Same could be said for this season. We have had poor attendances of around 16,000 all season but now we are about to go up suddenly we are nearly doubling that. Reminds me of doubling our season tickets numbers when we got to the FA cup final.

Thing is any other club in our situation it would be the same.

Absolutely correct.as I've said on a previous thread ticket prices ko times getting to the stadium don't seem to matter when its a big game but when there's a small game they are brought up as an excuse as to why the attendance is small.

Should never apologise for having an opinion.

I think a lot confuse plastic with 'glory supporters'.

Of course, these people we need in order to fill the stadium and I for one welcome them, I just wish they would stay through the good and the bad but ultimately it's their choice to make in a free world where, for some money is tight and if they don't feel like it's value for money they won't go, hard to blame someone for that.

I include my own mates in that, boys coming Sunday who's only other ganes was Man City.

BUT to describe them as plastics is just the wrong wording.

Thanks mate, you're right, I'm happy to accept my choice of wording wasn't correct, we're all as one :bluescarf:

In the end you have to wonder why someone would buy a season ticket and only use it occasionally probably paying £50 a match when you work it out over a season and yet they’ll still be counted in the crowd attendance for every game.

Just look at it this way it’s revenue for the club. Come one come all.

Wolfpac, I replied to one of your comments, but I wasn’t annoyed. I just didn’t agree. As others have said, we’re all entitled to opinions.

I’ve made a few comments myself that have made me look like a right belter.

At the end of the day you’re one of us, a Bluebird, and that’s all that matters! :bluebird:
