Rub of the green

Sat Apr 28, 2018 4:49 pm

For all the occasions when we have felt hard done by, we could have been down to 10 men and conceded a penalty today so maybe things do even out. Hope Neil buys the ref a pint.

Penalty not definate but could have been given, why ten men ?

To be honest they never troubled us at all , I can’t remember a save from Etheridge ?

People forget the decisions that go our way. Maybe just as well VAR is not around yet. Can work both ways.

we have had a run of bad luck since the new year, dissallowed winning goals at millwall and reading?called offside when on, derby nailed on pen not given, while fulham have had the rub of the green should of been 2-0 down friday and won and brentford and millwall fulham could easily have lost both , so if the worm has turned then its about time it has :bluescarf:

.

I am convinced we would benefit from VAR, we definitely don’t get a fair share of decisions, although today was one of the best refs this year iMO

The pen didn't look as if he touched him in plain sight ref so why didn't he book player for diving? That's another reason not to have var prefer bad decisions than having a decision go against you unexpectedly!

You may be correct, but when I read other team's forums they are often saying exactly the same thing. Poor refs are not purely the property of Cardiff City.

And var will only make them worse as get lazy hoping var makes decision for them, that's why var is not good idea

I believe Grujic was warned after his card some refs may have given 2 yellows

to be fair, the reffing at championship and premier level has been piss poor, not surprised we are not taking a ref to the world cup for the first time ever, but something warnock picked up on last week, fulham seem to get a premier league ref a lot more than cardiff, like i said if we got a bit of luck then its about time

I can see both sides of the arguments, but football has thrived for a century or so without it, I am not sure stopping the game every time a difficult decision has to be made will improve things. Ok for cricket which is not non stop action at the best of times, not so sure about football though.

It's not for football game is based on continuous action and debate on refs decisions! var will spoil things and will only add problems as players managers will constantly scream for var to be used. Yes var will get things right but at what cost to game and refs integrity when var proves them wrong constantly?
