Tony Pulis calls on Boro fans

Middlesbrough face Millwall at home tomorrow in a vital game in their push for a place in the playoffs.

Boro are currently fifth with Millwall just two places behind them outside of the playoffs in seventh, and with a win, the Lions could join their opponents on 72 points.

Tony Pulis are keen to take advantage of being at home tomorrow and he has called on the fans to raise the roof at the Riverside this weekend.

“We need the roof to come off because it is a great help for the players and it would be fantastic,” he said.

“It’s what I want, a hostile place, that atmosphere, everyone wants it. The players want to really feel that togetherness. Especially when we are under pressure a little bit, it’s brilliant when things are going well.”

A win could extend Boro’s lead on Derby to five points if the Rams fail to beat in-form Villa who are in their own push to secure an automatic promotion place.
