RIP The Crafty Cockney,he used to hate the Welsh players when he was playing but great pundit.

Rip eric, top bloke did loads for charity remember playing against him and his then mrs maureen flowers in stoke raising money for a little girl with cancer.

60 years of age - R I P .

Two sporting greats

Sad news about Bristow.I loved darts as a kid because of greats like the Craft Cockney.Brilliant darts player and such a dominant player in the early eighties.His clashes with Lowe and Jocky were legendary.I loved his confidence and spent many a day trying to replicate his throwing action.He had that eagle eye look and you knew he would get his doubles when they mattered.Like allot of great sports stars he struggled without the fame when retired.He still did the pub circuit and if he had been a bit more diplomatic with his views on other players he could have been a great commentator.Always remember he had Darttitis which I had no idea what it was at the time but its when a player loses form for no apparent reason.He had a big ego but when you were as special as Eric was at darts then at least he always backed up what he said he would do.I play darts with my mate every week for fun and I’m thankful to Eric Bristow for getting me playing this great game.

Wasn't keen on Eric growing up always arrogant. But grew on me as I got older. Enjoyed watching him in jungle said it as it was . Rip
