Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic: It's Cardiff to lose

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic insists all they can do is hope Cardiff slip up as the automatic promotion race nears its climax.

After beating Leeds last night to close the gap behind Cardiff to five point, Jokanovic told London Football News:

It depends on them. We can do it, we can try and repair ourselves and be ready for our next game. It is our ambition to fight for three points every week. But everything depends on Cardiff, they must lose. They have five points and that is a big difference. We will try and do our job, it’s a race, we will try and chase.

We must try to push harder and try and win the next game.

They need to have some mistakes to give us the opportunity. My job is not to be satisfied, my job is to push the players. It’s not so important if I’m happy. We are in a season where we can be successful. I’m proud of the way my team is working and how they are trying to push.

They don’t give up in any moment. We will try and win the remaining games.

Whilst we may lose next 2 games as they are difficult Fulham still need to win next 2 games as well, it may be close but they need to win maybe 5 out last 6 games and hope we don't do well after villa game its going to get scarey that's for sure

I suppose he is getting asked stupid questions all the time, the media are just trying to make the run in look much closer than it is to increase the interest and audiences.

If we win the next two they will be well p!ssed off, they want to create a race to the finish and will try and increase the pressure on us !!!

Don't let them we are five points clear with a game in hand and Fulham are running out of games !!!

As long as Cardiff conduct themselves like they have I couldn’t give a Monkies what other teams are doing and I get that the teams in this league not one would want us to gain promotion....but with Warnock in charge u couldn’t get a better manager to guide us hopefully into the premier league once again and I’m sure his management style isn’t panicking or players alike and that’s the difference....articles or comments made by other team managers are irrelevant Warnock and the players know what there is to know but it’s all about being positive and relaxed where others flap about around us I honestly believe that we have an untouchable team spirt that the manager has drilled into the team and it’s showing so I don’t care about what Fulham or villa or wolves managers or players say when we are out of touch then I’ll remind them of this post until then play football and hope that our spirt breaks ....#aint gonna happen bluebirds all the way for me

It's just mind games , trying to put more pressure on us .
If Fulham go the rest of the season and win all their games,and get second spot, all you can say is well done and they deserve it.
But that is a big big ask .
This time next week , the picture will be a lot more clearer.

I agree the team and Manager will take each game as it comes and see this out!

I fear that some of the fans are feeling the pressure and getting fairly tense and negative, what we don't want is for the players to feel this on Friday night !!!

We need to have faith in Warnock and the team, and support in a positive manner, this is not a Dave Jones bottling type of team, we are top of the League on current form and 2nd in the league, with a five point gap and a game in hand let them worry about us

He knows it's extremely hard for his team to catch us 'Eg' we win Fri they lose sat we would only need 2 wins and they would have to win all 5 games left that's how hard it is for them
