Neil Warnock praised the character of his Cardiff City players after they fought back to earn a late draw at Sheffield United last night, which the manager described as the ‘best point of the season’.
It prompted wild scenes in the away end and Warnock revealed just how much it meant to the players.
“In our dressing room it was like we had won the World Cup."
"The (equalising) goal is fantastic for team spirit,” he told the BBC.
The experienced boss was also delighted with the resilience and determination his team displayed.
“We always know if we can hang in games we can score. It’s great to know with seven games to go that we have got that in our locker. But under the circumstances, I feel like that could be the best point of the season.”
