SHEFFIELD UNITED MANAGER ISSUES STARK WARNING TO NEIL WARNOCK AND CARDIFF AHEAD OF TONIGHT
By Lee Connor

Sheffield United take on Cardiff City tonight knowing a win would give them a massive boost in their hunt for a playoff spot in the Championship and a shot at a second successive promotion.

The Blades, who missed out on three points on Good Friday after drawing 1-1 with Brentford, saw other results fall their way over the weekend, and despite the tough task Cardiff represent, manager Chris Wilder pulled no punches in his pre match assessment.

Speaking to the Sheffield Star, Wilder made not of Cardiff’s ability to battle and bully their way to results as well as being able to play football – a typical trait of any Neil Warnock side – but he insisted his own side won’t be bullied at Bramall Lane.

Despite the so called warning to Bluebirds manager Warnock, Wilder also made no secret of his respect for the former Blades boss, who has done a stunning job with the Welsh side since taking over, and has them on the brink of a return to the Premier League.

It promises to be quite the game in Sheffield tonight with both clubs having so much to play for, and for the neutral, it should well be an entertaining fixture to take in.
