The signs appear to be reasonably encouraging, with some fans reporting that many of the surrounding roads are already cleared.

A further update from Sheffield United is thought to be likely around lunch-time.

It’s also started raining in Sheffield now.

We've already seen pictures of far more snow in Sheffield than there ever was in Derby. Big disruption to public transport, there was none in Derby. The very same roads closed across the Peak District. So on that basis could we call off the game,I know we don't want to and neither will Sheffield. If however, we say the conditions are compatible the EFL have to support it. Derby, supported by the EFL , e set the benchmark for having a game postponed. Its a very low benchmark and the way it was carried it out, completely at the will of the home side.

Their reception and superstore is now open again.

Game on tonight as planned.
