Hope you are wrong there cos I think if we get a result, for them it's all over, we will have made the gap far too big for them to have any chance of autos.

Whilst it is very flattering that you all feel that being above Aston Villa is worthy of such celebrations (and maybe even an open top bus tour at the end of the season?), do you not think it's far more important to worry about the gap between yourselves and Fulham?

Just a thought like.

Haha just a case of one down one to go.

You guys have gone off the boil. Do you think you will get it back for the play offs?

I would hope so, it's only been 3 games after all. Th problem now is does he stick or twist? Does he start resting players or does he try to get momentum with his strongest 11? I think there'll be 1 or 2 rotations every game until the end of the season.

I must admit, I don't like the thought of facing Fulham so you'll forgive me for hoping that they finish 2nd.

Taking it you will put your first 11 out against us then?

It will make it an interesting game if the gap between us and Fulham close. If it doesn't it will mean we would have beaten Wolves prior to coming to you and our confidence will be high. If so I would expect us to take all 3 points from you.

I think if it goes to the wire between us and Fulham whatever happens it could turn out in your favour. All that emotional energy being invested and then losing out on autos could make the playoffs a huge mental hurdle. I certainly wouldn't write your lot off yet; when they get it together there's a lot of talent in your squad and Bruce has enough experience to make it count when it matters. Speaking personally of course I'd like to be putting my feet up and watching you and Fulham in the playoff final after we have been promoted. Whatever the outcome I think it could prove a classic

You don't need 3 points from Villa - You haven't for some weeks. I suspect that there will be very slight rotations in every game between now and the end of the season, as I said before. That includes the game against yourselves.

Villa Park is a difficult ground for away teams to win at. I think we lost 2 last season and 2 so far this season. If Villa go all out to beat you (which we will assume that they will), it will end up being a bit gung ho, leaving space for you to counter. If you are to win there, that is the most likely way that it will happen. As I said before though, you really don't need to win, you need 4 wins out of 8 or even 3 wins and 3 draws.

As it's Cardiff City we're talking about I won't be satisfied unless it's at least 4 wins and 3 draws and then it's mathematically safe; however, me being who I am I won't really believe it until it's confirmed on Sky News

Ultimately though, you'd never have dreamed that you'd be this far ahead with only 7 games to go (and 8 for you). I thought it would be a lot tighter. If Fulham were to go on and win their remaining 7 games then maybe you would have to take your hat off to them and say they deserve 2nd place. It would be an incredible run if they do though.

Absolutely correct and they're a class act. I just think there's at least a draw awaiting them somewhere, be it Millwall, Wednesday or even ....... Birmingham City

We need 16 points but I can see that coming down to 13 as I just cannot see Fulham winning all remaining games. In fact I can see them dropping points in 2 of their remaining games at least so yes I will go with your 3 wins and 3 draws. However I would like to get those wins as quick as possible and that means winning at your place. The way it is going I can see us doing that unlike a few weeks ago were a draw at Villa Park I would have considered a bonus.

I'll go as low as 11 though.
