12 men Villa fail

Sat Mar 31, 2018 6:42 pm

I say 12 men Villa because make no mistake, the officials did everything they could to gift Villa the win. Hull had a certain penalty when the free kick hits Grealish's arm (there was no way it could be missed, it was the most obvious penalty you'll ever see, the officials just didn't want to give it) and several other decisions went for Villa.

The ball comes off Grealish for a goal kick to Hull, but a corner to Villa is given, Hutton does a blatant dive in the first half and instead of getting booked for diving, Villa are awarded the free kick, there's a coming together between Hutton and a Hull player at the end which was shoulder to shoulder and the ref gifts Villa the free kick to take the pressure off, a Villa player on the deck wraps his leg around the Hull player to stop him getting to the ball and the ref gives a free kick to Villa on the edge of the box. The list of wrong decisions in Villa's favour were endless tonight.

Hull played very well in the second half and were very unlucky not to win. With a fair official in charge, they would have beaten Villa tonight. Hull away is going to be a very tough game for us. They've only lost 1 of their last 10 games and they played Villa off the park in the second half. With the ref being so against us yesterday and tonight's ref being so in favour of Villa today, it frustrates the hell out of me, but Villa are now 9 points off us and we still have a game in hand. A great result for us!

You're, absolutely right, Hull deserve to be very annoyed that they didn't get at least one penalty and Hutton should have been sent off for simulation. They weren't at the races first half but second half they were miles the better team. More enterprise near goal might have achieved a better result. However, with Wolves missing two key players they showed enough for me to think they could possibly produce a surprise result at Molineaux on Tuesday. Barring calamities this result should also put Villa out of the automatics mix.

Make no mistake villa are out as they've got to rely on us and Fulham faltering that is not going to happen and it showed on Bruce face at end.

Hull very unlucky. Most one sided referee performance I've seen since Rudy Glockner.

Hull were dreadful in the first half and a totally different team in the second.

I've not seen much about Villa in the last 3 games to be worried about going to their place. I hope Hull though performance like they did in the second half against Fulham and if they do I can see a surprise result happening.

Yes disgraceful performance...oh well...!

Did anyone see the Championship last night with the presenter suggesting that if Cardiff have pulled up trees with Warnock, Neil Harris have pulled up a forest at Millwall...f&@k me, wait until they at least get in the play offs before making that statement..shocking!!

Yes but on current form Fulham and Villa won't be relishing going to the Den. Come on you Lions!!?

Still amazes me that in the position we are and have been all season pundits would rather talk about other clubs we barely get a mention and any air time

I’m fine with that. I’d rather stay under the radar. If we get promoted they can talk about us then

If you're referring to me Sven, I went quiet long before yesterdays game.

Reeling in a pair of muppets like Steven david & Carephilly Bluebird is hardly the stuff legends are made of is it? Then there's you, the serial misunderstander who claims to be able to "rise above it all" yet just can't help himself as the above post shows.

Still sticking by grealish being the best player in the league? Where’s he been when you needed him?

Well you should know all about that Sven - You've had a lifetime of struggles.

Now put it away and enjoy your day in the sun (the next one will no doubt be a long time coming)
