A forum for all things Cardiff City

As 2nd half of the match between Hull City and Aston Villa kicks off, I look into the fixtures ahead for Cardiff City as they could well decide the fate of the bluebirds going back into the Premier League.
SHEFFIELD UNITED
Sheffield are a funny team and are well on there charge to get into the Play-Offs as they are hitting a bit of form facing Cardiff, this match could not decide this season for Cardiff, but the bluebirds absolutely need to beat Sheffield going into the next big game against Wolves.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
The big crunching match which will yet not decide the bluebirds fate but if Cardiff do a double and beat Wolves, this will open everyones eyes as to how strong the Bluebirds are against the teams around them and it would be huge in terms of catching up Wolves.
ASTON VILLA
Now this match is the big one as many Cardiff fans may think this is not as important due to the rise of Fulham chasing Cardiff, but the sleeping giants of Aston Villa can cause some damage for Cardiff City's hopes for Promotion, BUT do not forget Cardiff have got to play Derby in there game in hand so this can go back into the bluebirds favour. But a win is vital for Cardiff against Villa as Fulham continue to charge.

From what I saw of Villa tonight I believe we must be going into these games as favourites for all 3 games so expect 9 points from them.

I would take this as all we need is 15 points.

I saw absolutely nothing to fear from either Hull or Villa tonight, all huff and puff but both toothless in attack. The dream of Promotion is just a few wins away now Bluebirds.

The next three will def decide our season imo the 3 are all easily loseable

The worst we can be after the next 3 games is 2 points off automatic- hardly sealing our fate.

I thought Hull were pretty good particularly in the second half. The next 3 games only decides it if we get 6 more points than Fulham so its very unlikely. Personally I see it going just about all the way. If we can keep the differential with Fulham to or better than minus 3 over the next 5 games then we could do at Derby. That would be very fitting.

Would say that the next 3 games are must not lose games particularly the Villa game which is more or less a 6 pointer. Villa are desperate to beat us to close the gap however a draw would negate their challenge and harm their chances of catching us.
Would be nice to beat Wolves however a draw wouldn’t be a disaster. A point would keep our hopes alive of overturning their lead.
Keep the momentum going by avoiding defeat at Sheff Utd and then going into the Wolves game with the confidence the team are displaying at the moment.
Keep the pressure on Fulham by picking up points against the top teams.

I think we need to win at least one the next 2 games and ideally draw the other. Otherwise this could all flip round rather quickly. 2 very credible draws against Sheff Utd and Wolves and there's a very realistic chance we go to Villa only 3 points ahead of Fulham. Loose there and Fulham could be above us that night. We all saw how quickly we gained this advantage, well it can disappear just as quickly.

Even if we lose all three we will probably still be second

Lose all 3 , Fulham win their 3 games and yes we are 2 points behind but have a game in hand so our fate is still in our own hands.
Personally, I don’t think we will lose all 3 .

3 draws will be good.
It also means three other promotion contenders drop points. Fulham are sure to lose soon.
