Apparently the last time Cardiff City won nine in a row was 1947. One year before Neil Warnock was born. On Monday he could make a bit of history, matching that feat against his hometown club.

That 1946-47 side were full of local players plucked from Parks sides and Welsh League.
My grandfathers favourite team.
Won the title at a canter in front of massive crowds.
Alf Sherwood, Billy Baker, Danny Canning, Fred Stansfield, Stan Richards...
Division 3 South Champions, who a few years later made it to the top flight

Would love to see this group create a bit of history but there is a bigger picture and a draw would not be a bad result remember

I was surprised by this fact when I was told it the other week. I was told over 40 years ago that the record stood at 7. You tended to believe those facts in those days as there was no such thing as the Internet to check out.

It's amazing to think that not so long ago 9 wins in a season would be considered an achievement!
