Awful referee again today.
Booked Bryson for the first foul of the game and then let far worse fouls by Burton go unpunished.
Wrong decision to disallow the Morrison goal - the goalie was just completely outjumped and not fouled at all.
Clear penalty when Madine was barged in the back just as he was about to head in the late cross from Hoilett. The defender was nowhere near the ball and flattened Madine from behind.
If Madine had barged the keeper in the same way the bald tw*t would have given a free kick all day long.
We really have had some absolute clowns in charge this season and it certainly does seem as if we alwyas get shit refs!

I was about to start a thread bout the same thing...
Shocking at times he just guessed. Callum Paterson decisions were just flip of a coin stuff. When he backed in he got the free kick next time he never; when he was pushed down it was ignored then got the decision when he was backing in with no intent of going for the ball.
When we Paterson scored i just looked at the ref in case he wanted to rule out another.....Pure guesser

There were 3 blatant shirt pulls by Burton which went unpunished before Bryson's, but Bryson gets booked. The lack of consistency was astonishing, the referee didn't give us a thing and the linesman Grandstand side was equally useless. How he missed the foul on Bamba a yard in front of him and the two armed shove on Paterson is beyond me!

Also thought it was odd to end the half after awarding us a free kick in a dangerous area.

And he missed the hand ball before Paterson scored so not biased just useless.

Usually, if a team is awarded a free kick, they are given the opportunity to score from the free kick. When the ball goes dead or the defence clears the ball, it is then the half should end.
I can understand the half being ended when the ball goes out for a corner, because that's just the ball going out of play. But a free kick is a punishment against the team committing the foul and the first half should have kept running today until we completed our free kick attack. If the ref gave us a penalty, he wouldn't have ended the half before allowing us to take the penalty, so there should be no difference with the award of a free kick in my opinion.

I've lost count of how many bad ones we have had this year but this clown beat the lot. It's amazing we've won somany games because they seem to have more bias against us than the opposition

Cant believe I'm complaining about a referee after losing 3-1. He was awful. The worst for me was booking Bryson straight away, penalty decisions come and go but he had a shocker. Warnock was going ballistic, even more so then usual haha

Agree, if he really felt time was up don't make a decision and just blow up. Odd referee.

And morrisons goal look good the goalie was never going to get ball with 3 city players in front of him? None of them fouled him but guess ref thought that 3 players in front of him was enough reason to disallow goal

I never whinge about the referee. I will make an exception for yesterday’s though, terrible!
Sat Mar 31, 2018 7:59 am
He disallowed 2 of our goals at home against QPR for no good reason either. He seems to have an agenda.
Sat Mar 31, 2018 9:33 am
I honestly believe the refs are looking for us to be the dirty side that our reputation appears to be. We are not a dirty side as proven by the stats . What we are is a very fit and physical side. There is a difference between a foul and just being stronger than you opponent as was shown by yanik w. incident yesterday. No wonder Neil tears his hair out.

Another shocking performance. Started off with correctly booking Bryson. 10 mins later one of their players did similar challenge stopping us breaking no card! Just got worse with incorrect goals disallowed

Some of our fans enjoy a good hissy fit if things don't go their way...Tonka Toys straight out of the pram.

Guess a 3-1 win doesn't count as going our way?

4 goals disallowed by this ref this season now
Sat Mar 31, 2018 2:40 pm
There was the challenge on Wildschutt by the by line. He hardly touched the Burton player but the ref still gave a free kick against us.

Just as bad at hull today he was so one sided may as well have villa shirt on?
The handball incident was most blatant of the season yet from 20yds both officials missed it???

Thing is these chumps get paid decent money and the decisions they make can cost people their livelihood. Why do they get away without having to explain the reasons behind their decisions - they don't have to answer to anyone and in 2018 and the riches involved in the game they should be made to face the media in the same way that every other profession has to when there is a major cock up.

They do get assessed by managers and an assessor and can be demoted if really poor, generally never hear of it unless it's a premiership ref? Managers do see ref but it's about 30mins after game just wonder how he explains this one?

Understand what you are saying mate, but my point was why don't they have to explain themselves in public. If you cock up in almost any other profession you have to face the music but referees are immune to this. Why?

Because they don't have to go public! but managers have told press what refs have said regarding a particular decision on occasions I know NW have done so this season, Besides what fan is going to agree to why ref disallowed a goal or pen? Unless
It's for their team.
