April 1994 into may we had to play 9 games in 24 days !. We must have been wrecked by game 7 because we crashed 7-2 at home to Cambridge!.

I remember and the Ref was a nightmare, plus Mallo ran on the pitch when it was 2-7 to get at the Ref

I was sat in the Canton Stand, we use to have about 250 lads/singers together :thumbright:

I was there and have always remembered. Sat in Bob bank in the middle and it was shocking. We had a good crowd that day, well for us it was higher than average and the ref was tall bald guy who was appalling he appeared to deliberately make decisions against us. Remember the fan going after him too....

I remember it well. We had just secured safety from relegation the game before so I suppose they weren't going to bust a gut having played so many games. The linesman had clearly lost his flag every time Cambridge went forward because a few of the goals were miles offside. Everything they hit went in. Still you cant argue with 7-2 even if it was a little flattering to them.

Also remember beating them 5-4 about 10 years earlier. 5-2 up a half time.

About 50 were from the Rhondda, bad on the pitch, but still good off it days. The 'Trebanog' song was often sung in there.

Yep we also lost the next 1-3 home to Port Vale & the last 0-2 away to Bradford City!!! We ended up in 19th. Worse was to come the next year. We ended up 22nd & relegated. The year after we ended up 22nd in the bottom league (div 3) & just avoided going out of the league. From there the only way was up (well almost). Those were the days eh? :occasion5:

Weren’t the game where mallo run on the pitch the game we were both top of the league and they beat us 1-0. I’m sure the ref was Barry knight. It was brilliant in the canton in them days. Flaherty gorky dean newt lizard razzer nick eddie, an us lot from Trebanog. Good days

The sequence started with a 5-3 away win at Brighton probably one or our last games at the goldstone ground.

I remember being sat in the Bob Bank, although I don’t remember a pitch invader. Then again, my head was in my hands so I wouldn’t have seen him anyway, plus my memory is terrible.

My first game with my Father. I was only 4/5! I remember one of their players getting a right hammering for being a tad overweight. He even put the ball under his shirt to take the pi55 if I remember

I ran the ones from the Rhondda in the 80's, before TB's time-though his Dad was on some of them. Gaffers trips later on were good, but nothing like back in the day, not being disrespectful in any way. It was just a different, far more violent era!
