THE CARDIFF CITY UTILITY MAN WHO’D BE AN EXCELLENT SUMMER CAPTURE FOR SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday have had differing seasons to say the least this campaign, with the Owls lingering down in the lower echelons of the Championship while Cardiff sit in the top two and hopeful of a Premier League return.
The Bluebirds have made a real effort of playing as a squad and winning promotion this term, and manager Neil Warnock has once again worked his magic to good effect.
For Wednesday, a big summer is ahead of them, as manager Jos Luhukay will be looking to get himself an extended stay with the club, while adding some new players and clearing out some of the so called ‘dead wood’ will also be crucial for the Owls.
One player we at FLW think could be a superb signing for the S6 club is Cardiff City forward Anthony Pilkington, who has found himself on the periphery of the squad under Warnock this season but has at times still played a crucial role in proceedings in Wales.
Pilkington has Premier League experience following his stint with Norwich City, and is capable of filling in across various roles in both midfield and attack. With Wednesday needing some quality and players who are desperate for first team minutes, signing someone like Pilkington could be a masterstroke.
A player of excellent ability and a proven commodity in the second tier, Pilkington would be a superb addition for the Owls as they look to mount a promotion push next season.
