What would everyone's feelings be if we weren't promoted this season?
For me I would still be positive - We have the best team I have seen in my time...
My expectations this season were play offs.
I think next season will be exciting either way - I love what Warnock has done for this club and he is already a legend in my eyes.

Massively dejected considering we've been in the mix for most of the season but also proud of our team and manager who has brought unity and resonance to City.
If we don't go up this season then we can push on for next season.

weve had better teams recently imo, just have a manager getting the most out of this one.
from this position ill be a little gutted but it depends how it goes, if villa go unbeaten from here then theres not too much you can say, if we both limp to 85 ish points ill be gutted.

There would be an element of disappointment that is true but like you say... pride.
With all the injuries and the comparison of money spent we are punching well above our weight.

Paul, not sure who would get in this current team..
Bellamy and Ramsey are the only names that really stick out for me.

Depends on the Madine figure really. some saying 6m and some saying 1.5m with addons depending on promotion ( I think I've read that )

most clubs will make signings with the same stipulations though, its still committing to the overall figure.
anyway, not trying to split hairs or anything, just saying weve spent a fair amount money

I would be gutted and totally dejected.
You never know how a new season will start no matter who the manager or squad. We would no doubt have to sell and then hope we can replace them with decent quality.

I think we've done brilliantly this season (I had us finishing 8th) and as others have mentioned I think the players are punching above their weight and a large part of that is down to Warnock. I wouldn't say its the best team I have seen as I thought in terms of ability and quality the team that got to the play off final was the best team I've seen I'm my time, with players like Marshall, McNaughton, Hudson, Ledley (in his prime), McPhail, Whittingham, McCormack (in his prime) Bothroyd and Chopra would walk in this team in terms of abilty, but that's just my opinion. But that team regardless of ability never got promoted (even though it should have) and this team is full of work ethic and drive.

Marshall was probably better than Etheridge but only time will tell.
I'd love to see Bothroyd in for Ken mind I have to be honest.

Football has not always been great but still been a good season. Whatever happens we are going to be in the play offs at the very least. Have done a lot better than I predicted, I thought we may just about scrape into the play offs, and based that on having Warnock as our manager rather than the quality of players here.
Be disappointed not to get promoted, but the Championship can be exciting if we fail to get up this season. My main concern would the reduced income next season, and whether or not we would have to sell some of our better players to balance the books. At least we have Warnock here, and he seems to be capable of getting players in at a reasonable price who can do a job for him.
Fri Mar 09, 2018 9:01 pm
Not overly bothered personally. Like warnock I love the championship. We will lose more than we win in the premiership. I am more concerned about the financial side for the club to get promotion really

I agree with this on the most.
However despite what warnock says I think he will be devastated if we don't go up and he will see it as a big chance missed and that can have an effect on the manager and squad.

My only concern is if we don’t get promoted after exceeding most peoples predictions is we will probably lose some top players in the summer.
Sat Mar 10, 2018 9:26 am
Of course I would love promotion, but what we have achieved so far, have massively exceeded my expectations.
If we are in the championship next season so be it.
Remember where we were, before Warnock came in.
We would probably be struggling now, not to get relegated from league 1 , if Trollope was still in charge.
Sat Mar 10, 2018 9:33 am
I've loved this season.
Be brilliant to end it with a prize, but the pride and passion shown by the manager and side have made me proud of my club again
Sat Mar 10, 2018 9:54 am
IMO it would be a disaster for the club ,Warnock isn't getting any younger and Tan isn't going to stay around for much longer. Being in the PL makes selling the Club a much more attractive proposition, the debt is still high and squads' evolve so for me getting promoted is essential for the Club to grow and become more self sufficient .

I'd be gutted, but, ' Cardiff have done brilliantly with what they have, but thats Neil Warnock ' Lawro on Football focus about 5 mins ago. 'nuff said.
