BLESSING IN DISGUISE?

Fri Mar 02, 2018 4:28 pm

As much as I back Cardiff to win every game, and this season we’ve shown the potential to more than capably do that. I can’t help but thinking the game being PP’d today may have been a blessing for us. (Despite it being another day or two off work).

A few reasons to this.

1) As much as I do believe we’d beat Brentford on the road, it’s a definite tough fixture for us, and could easily cause a stumble
2) Our next fixture for Barnsley on Tuesday night is a far winnable fixture, and a chance to extend our unbeaten run
3) We have key players yet to come back from injury, that we would definitely need to deal with a Brentford side in full flow
4) Be quite nice to be at Griffin Park under lights. Real away day feel (despite having to take the time off)!!

Hopefully we’ll be back to full strength, and still unbeaten for when the replay comes around

I agree, I’m happy with the game being off, gives Morrison a bit more time to fully recover, and the same for Madine, and also the others we have on the treatment table...of course I feel sorry for the supporters booking tickets, and trains, that’s a pain!

Would be nice to take maximum points from our next two home games now. That will give us real momentun going to Derby!

In a way I'm glad today game is off potentially this fixture is a banana skin fixture for us even when conditions are good like you I always belive City can win any game but brentford are a very good side at home and with conditions the way they are today you don't want to give them any more encouragement than they need don't get me wrong idont fear them love going to grounds like brentford small enclosed it would have been a cracker today but just glad when we do go there conditions will be on an even keel with villa off today as well the day has turned out well for us.
