Brentford and this cold weather

Mon Feb 26, 2018 5:08 pm

Does Griffin Park have under soil heating?
Could the game be affected?

Also, is anybody else comming by tube to South Ealing? Looks like a long walk to the ground

Cheers, 20 minutes isn't bad providing it's not raining.

but you got to get to Waterloo then change Waterloo for brentford they do advise to go South Ealing turn right out of station walk to the Ealing rd then you have to cross a very busy rd for the ground

3 of us on the train. Rolling into Euston, then meeting some city fans in Paddington before going to South Ealing. 20 mins walk to ground. Weather due to get warmer by weekend. No brentford hasn't got underground heating.

Cheers for the feedback lads. I just found out that a 65 bus runs from South Ealing tube passing Griffin park en route. Should the 20 minute walk be too much.

as I said its a twenty 20minute walk from the station down Ealing rd then you got to cross the busey A4 and that's taking you're life in yours own hands next stop down is Northfields and Boston manor and they are about the same but they say South ealing is the station you're better off getting to the ground from

Bit worried about this one.. ground doesn’t have under soil heating, but hopefully the pitch won’t be too badly affected.

Hopefully there won’t be a problem getting the buses up there either!

No it doesn't.

Pitch should be OK, but as I mentioned in another thread it will be the surroundind streets that could be a problem.

Just looking at Brentford message board. They think the game will be called off by the looks of things.

I’ve just been on their main forum and the messages for today range from “Pitch will be no problem at all, surrounding streets will be the only problem if any” to “5 degrees forecast for early Saturday, close this thread now” and “Stupid thread, it’ll be on”

Brentford just need to hire the Peterborough squad to sweep the snow off.

(Pictures from an hour ago show the pitch deep in snow - with more forecast for Friday)

Couldn't they have chucked a massive tarpaulin on it?

Be an absolute nightmare if they Postpone it to Midweek!!!

I'll be surprised if it goes ahead. I wonder how long Brentford will leave it before making a decision. I'm travelling until I hear differently. :bluescarf:
