Atletico Baleares lost yet again yesterday; one nil away.

Horacio Melgarejo Ceases to be coach of the ATB. The Club appreciates the technician his work in the 8 games he has taken care of the 1st team.

The club hopes to announce its substitute in the next few hours.


Atletico Baleares are now looking for their 4th manager in less than a year,since they made the play-offs last season.

Atletico are now 3rd from bottom of League 3.

Not looking good for Atletico Baleares

If relegated they would next season play clubs like Alcudia, Manacor, Calvia clubs all on the Island of Mallorca, but barely get 200 fans for home games.

Atletico Baleares currently have 2,500 season ticket holders.



But thankfully their Supporters have stayed loyal and still get capacity crowds week in week out of 3,000

Some of the Atletico Baleares fans who still travelled the 12 hour round trip to mainland Spain yesterday for a 12pm kick off to watch Atletico Baleares lose away 1-0 .

Yes not that far from you and there are many away games all around your area

Some Atletico Baleares fans say it will be fun going to all the away games around Mallorca, I agree as long as they get promtoed ASAP

But hopefully they stay up, but not looking good at all

Manager career

After hanging up his boots Mandiola was a manager of SD Eibar B. In 2003, he joined SD Beasain in Tercera División. After a season, Mandiola was appointed Real Unión manager, and despite finishing second in his first season, he was dismissed in his second due to poor results.

In 2006, Mandiola was appointed Eibar manager, and achieved promotion from the third level at first attempt. He managed to lead the club to a mid-table finish in their return to the second division, but was relieved to his duties nonetheless.

On 23 December 2008 Mandiola was appointed Deportivo Alavés manager. He was sacked only less than two months later.

On 27 April 2010 Mandiola returned to Eibar, with the club back to the third division; he was relieved from his duties in the end of the 2011–12 season, after missing the promotion in both play-offs.

On 28 December 2013 Mandiola was appointed CD Tudelano manager. He announced his departure from the club on 6 May 2016, and was appointed at the helm of Burgos CF on 27 September.

Mandiola did not finish the season as he was sacked on 25 April 2017.
