I'd like to see him alongside Gunner, I think he can offer a bit more going forward.

I've not seen his performance today but perhaps I could add this comment.
As some of you know I photograph Premier League up here so know a lot of the other photographers really well. I particularly know the two Liverpool Photographers. Anyway a few weeks prior to joining us Grujic was playing for Liverpool Under 23s at the Leigh Sports Village. He looked lethargic and had a little bit of criticism.
It turns out that he had this flu virus but rather than take his place on the sidelines insisted to the Liverpool management that he wanted to play. There was no chance of him making the Liverpool first team. This was an Under 23 game and his sole aim was to play football - to me that says a lot about him and it's all positive.
I also understand that he does have to play in 90% of our remaining games (unless injured) otherwise we have to pay Liverpool and increased loan fee!

I still think he's adjusting to the Championship. He has played mostly Under 23 games and it's quite a step up.
I'm sure he'll improve with more games.

I do agree with that. The Under 23 game is a mixture of first teamers and youth and is also played in an empty stadium - almost.
The game is most certainly different and so is the atmosphere.
I definitely think the Championship it a harder division to adapt to than the Premier League. The Premier League may have more pace but it is less physical than the Championship. So there is a lot for him to adapt to as you say.

Apart from a mad 10 minutes when he lost his head and he was all over the place with some wild tackling, I thought he had a decent game..couple of decent tackles, few good interceptions and his overall passing and work rate was ok
It's obvious he's struggling a bit with the pace and physicality of the championship, but he will get better and better with games under his belt..he certainly doesn't shy away from a tackle!!

MARKO GRUJIC
Offered a composed meance in front of the back four that Leeds couldn’t shake off. Improving with minutes and more up to pace with things, though needs to watch discipline. Gave the feeling he could have a big say in Cardiff’s fortunes between now and May. 7
JOE RALLS
While others tire, Ralls finds even more energy. Drove on and on, always looking for ball and ready to break up Leeds rhythm whenever required. Does so much for side. 8
CALLUM PATERSON
Pushed high in the midfield through the centre of the park and was all action. Took goal well, may have has another, set up Hoilett and Pilkington and didn’t give Leeds a moment’s peace. 9
STAR MAN - JUNIOR HOILETT
Added the finesse to the physicality. Some intelligent runs of good quality and great determination, as showed when followed up Paterson shot to grab key second. 9
GARY MADINE
Decent enough start from the new signing, showing great ability to hold up play, either troubling Leeds’ defenders or bringing teammates into game. No real chance to threaten goal. 6
YANIC WILDSCHUT
One or two flashes and showed willingness to drop deeper and stop Leeds attacking space, but too much failed to come off and made way early in second-half. 6
SUBS: Anthony Pilkington (for Wildschutt 55): Energetic and got late reward 7
Kenneth Zohore (for Madine 72): Couldn’t get chance against tired legs 6
Greg Halford (for Grujic 82): Late composure 6
Not Used: Murphy(gk), Damour, J Ward, Feeney.
SCORERS -
Leeds: Bamba o.g 54
Cardiff: Paterson 9, Hoilett 41, Morrison 45+4, Pilkington 88
YELLOW CARDS -
Leeds: Berardi 26, 45+3
Cardiff: Madine 35, Ralls 45+1, Pilkington 79, Grujic 81
RED CARDS -
Leeds: Berardi 45+3

He will get better

i loved the fact he lost his head a bit, he is not here for a little jog around.
I love Ralls but he does when in doubt give it a clout (anywhere). Grujic wants it to go to soemone in blue. It will be interesting when Gunnar is fit.
But we need to face facts, we massively lost the i know pointless stat of possession against 10 men. Against better teams that will hurt us

Not really a concern to me, we lose possession stats every week, it’s almost meaningless

I’m not sure Gunnar will play alongside Grujic too much.
We need Ralls energy and passing while Patterson offers the same with assists and a goal threat. Gunnarsson offers very little on the passing front unless it’s to the other team.

love him and Toure look like footballers, thought Wildschut looked unfit? id go with the same 11 with Pilks in for Wildschut.i just watched the whole game again on vid and Grujic covering of the pitch was outstanding he backed up the two central defenders time and time again when they were drawn out of position. i was there, best away trip all season by far..

4-1 away from home and people will still find a reason to have a dig at the team. Get a grip like. No pleasing some people.

It is a football forum though , and all topics should be able to be discussed surely?

I just don’t understand the negativity on this forum sometimes. You’d think we had lost 4-1 the way people were giving him shit.

I’ve got s feeling that we may not see AG in the first team again. Saying what he’s said to NW , he’d be the last person I’d sign up for a new contract if we got to the premiership. IMHO he’s a good championship player and that’s it. I do understand that he is captain of Iceland but it doesn’t change my opinion.

Fair point, but some comments are agenda driven. Poor portrayal of facts.

I love Gunnar but I agree, I think he's played his last game for city. While most would have done the same, the Iceland situation didn't go down well with Warnock. It's also played a part in his injury, also remember he will be way off the pace when he returns.
