An example of the opportunities I think Gary Madine will create. He held their centre back off to take him out of the game and that enabled Paterson to bomb on and set up Hoilett.

We would never have scored that goal with Zohore on the pitch and we definitely wouldn't have scored 4 with Zohore on the pitch instead of Madine in my opinion. Madine will enable us to pick up more scraps in the final third to allow our midfield and wingers to drive forwards, our second goal being a perfect example of this.

As much as I wanted us to sign Grabban, it Is nice to hear that Madine is putting himself about and making a contribution, even if he is’nt getting the goals himself.

Will agree with your logic here but have to differ on Paterson setting up Hoilett. More like a scuffed shot that Hoilett took advantage off. I'm not complaining though.

Well the way you look at it we don't play to Zohore's strengths where we do with Madine because we do lump the ball long quite a bit so yeah it works in our favour having Madine because in the air he is a monster.

Right into the danger area and it paid off!

Madine looked strong and was much better in the air than Big Ken though that's not hard.

However there was one occasion in the first half when the ball was played to him and he had a chance to run at a defender and at goal but he turned back and laid the ball off so I think that he's not blessed with great pace.

Zohore would have loved that type of ball and would have turned the defender and headed straight for goal.

However, Madine is going to be much more of a threat inside the box and from crosses and throws - areas where Ken is no threat whatsoever.
