THEY MUST HATE CARDIFF CITY MORE THAN NEARLY ANY OTHER CLUB AS ONCE AGAIN CARDIFF COME AWAY WITH THE 3PTS AGAINST LEEDS UNITED

Brilliant away win once again at Elland Road and this puts Neil Warnocks team back on track for the fight for 2nd place in the Championship


City really are Leeds bogey team and at times Leeds were the better team.


Grujic for me had an awful game and was lucky not to be sent off and Gary Madine had a quite debut.


ITS HARD TO BELIEVE IT
First-Half Cardiff went in at half-time 0-3 even though Leeds had virtually controlled the whole half other than Cardiff dominating the first 10mins where they got their first goal & the last 5mins
Etheridge for me was man of the match in the first-half & Leeds hit the post & crossbar.
Goals from Paterson, Hoilett and Morrison gives Cardiff a 3-0 lead at the break

Leeds had Berardi sent off as he was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Madine

Second-half

Leeds continued to never give up, but Cardiff came away once again with an excellent 3pts from Elland Rd

The first 10mins was all Cardiff and it paid of,Callum Paterson headed home an Armand Traore cross 0-1 City in the 9th min

Then for the next 20 odd mins Neil Etheridge continued to make some great saves

Leeds should of been level, Hernandez found Lasogga at the back post, he hit the bar from point blank range with a header and Alioski's rebound was saved tremendously by Etheridge.

Leeds later hit the crossbar.

Gary Madine was booked for a foul on Berardi.

Even with all the attacking and threats Leeds had on the Cardiff goal bang in the 41st min Paterson striked across goal and Hoilett put the ball in at the back post to score 0-2


45th min Sean Morrison heads home Hoilett's free-kick 0-3


H/T 0-3



Leeds started the second half well and Bamba turned a cross into his own net 54th min 1-3

Pilkington replaced Wildschut.

Leeds played the whole of the second-half with 10 men.

72nd min Gary Madine was replaced by Kenneth Zohore.


Anthony Pilkigton was booked.

Grujic was booked for a late foul on Dallas.
Gregg Halford then replaced the Liverpool loanee.



Leeds continued to never give up, but Cardiff came away once again with an excellent 3pts from Elland Rd.

Agree that Etheridge made some good saves, but Paterson my MOTM. Quickly becoming really important to us.

Grujic looks a liability when he makes tackles... Liverpool fans did warn us he likes a card.

We now have to build on this, to keep the pressure on Derby and Villa. Wolves are gone.

I agree Paterson has improved and was very good today, but I chose Etheridge as his saves in the first-half were vital and the result might have been different.

Grujic is going to be ok.. it's a bit of a culture shock to him at the moment very, very physical in the Championship

Shown a few glimpses of what he can do.. but almost lost his head today

Not really, havent got to play him, just cost a few ££££s if we dont, but the prize is lots of £££££s if we succeed without him!

On the city I follow commentary the seemed to think he was doing well breaking up play. Also madine had good Comments. Funny how people see games differently. I will watch it back tomorrow once it's available and reserve judgement.

We don't have to play him if we don't want to...people are making a huge deal about this financial penalty if he doesn't play enough games.... but this is a pretty standard agreement for loan signings most premiership players who go out on loan have this clause written into the agreement

True, but was awful today was he not?

We all do see the game differently indeed. I thought Paterson in the second half demonstrated he is not a central midfield player, He is great at causing mayhem, but against 10 men we needed to get a hold of the ball ad got a real midfielder on.

It was good to see grujic has an edge

We all see things differently and have different opinions, thats the beauty of the game

But there again some managers do as well

Absolutely a liability and lucky to stay on the pitch! I was being a bit flippant before. My concern so far is he seems to let the game pass him by. I know he is a loanee but Liverpool spent good money on him. I would be expecting a little more energy at least for his price tag. I just hope he settles in fast and starts to show what klopp saw in him

I don't think that's correct, he doesn't have to start games but if he doesn't then there is a financial penalty. Put it this way if Warnock didn't think he was up to it I have no doubt he would drop him.

I cant see Warnock bowing down to contract clauses. If Grujic wasn't up for it hed get dropped. Hopefully just a bad day at the office for him today.

I don't think that's correct, he doesn't have to start games but if he doesn't then there is a financial penalty. Put it this way if Warnock didn't think he was up to it I have no doubt he would drop him.

I'm pretty sure that 14 is the game number. Whether that is starts or includes sub appearances I don't know. But I agree 2blue that if Warnock finds him useless we just pay more money.
