OT Article: Some guy who's made a fortune from online shares

I remember some thread not that long back about bitcoin, this guy is laughing, can't believe how he's done it.

He works on the side of a road on his own and advertises the fact that he is worth millions.
What could possibly go wrong.......

He manages a £9 million fund from a burger van??.im no expert but I would say that he is unregulated and what he is doing is probably illegal

But like you said Griff what could possibly go wrong :roll: think I will stick with my Vodaphone shares!!!

Reading the article in full it seems he doesn't actually handle anyone's cash, shares or whatever.

Simply he is 'followed' twitter like on this trading platform and any investments he makes is automatically made by his 6,600 'followers' and he gets paid a commission.

Obviously to be followed by so many he must have built up a very good reputation on the platform.

It is an interesting concept but of course he isn't worth £9m, that is the combined worth of the fund which is owned by him and his 6,600 followers although he admits to making 'six' figures (at least £100k) in commission this year.
