Obviously we can’t change the past. What’s done is done. But if this was Football Manager who would you have signed?

How exciting is it that both strikers will be playing for teams in similar positions.
Pending the sort of service they get we will be able to compare like for like over the next few months.
Let's see who comes up with the most goals AND assists (as they are slightly different strikers).
Will Warnock be a hero for the purchase?

Think I remember a poll not long back where every single vote went to Grabban as the player crucial to our promotion bid. I expect every single vote to go the other way now he has chosen an alternative club. Not sure how he has become a worse footballer today than he was last week.

He probably isn’t but Madine (I think) will be an asset.

Would have preferred grabban, but I think it’s true what others are saying that Madine probably suits our style more, I’m still a bit annoyed at just how much he’s cost us, but I’ll get over that if he does the business
Regardless, he’s a cardiff player now and we need to all give him a chance

Rudy Gestede, Jordan Rhodes, Chris Wood.
Look at some of the prices paid for big (ish) men.

It appears from some of the articles here that Madine has been determined to get the move here for the last week and made it almost impossible for Bolton to keep him. He appears to want to be here.
Whereas Grabban was hoping to go to the highest bidder.
I know who I’d prefer playing for us.

Villa? A soulless club that represents a tiny part of a shit city. Good luck Grabban u money grabbing reject

Believe that Grabban is a far better striker. If it was down to money you cannot blame someone if you want to earn more and ANOTHER CLUB is prepared to pay it.
Will still support every City player.

Looking at it from a Bolton fan perspective you could say that they offered him a contract and he held out for a better deal elsewhere... not really all that different to grabban

Not going to be bitter about Grabban choosing Villa. Maybe a chance of a better contract in the future there, with better wages than what we would offer. Most of us would take a higher-paid job offer.
Think he’ll do well at Villa, scored goals in a struggling Sunderland side.
I’m happy with Madine, though. I’ve criticised Zohore recently but he can play with Madine. You would say Grabban and Zohore are too similar for them both to play.
Madine is another who has scored goals this season in a struggling team. Let’s hope he can keep up his form of this season.
