' Warnock never stopped trying and Wanted '

As well as the following players Warnock brought in,in January.

Liam Feeney - Extended Loan
Yanic Wildschut - Loan
Marko Grujic - Loan
Gary Madine - £2mill
Jamie Ward - Loan

Neil Warnock with a small budget/little money at his desposal, also wanted to bring in another CM yesterday and spoke to 2 clubs about possible loans, one being a Premier League player, the other a Championship player.

Rem Warnock can only play a max of 5 loan players on a match day and has reached his limit.

Also Warnock moved out Lee Tomlin & Lee Camp, both not playing for us and two of Cardiff City's Top earners, so reducing the wages drastically :thumbright: :thumbright:

In my opinion Warnock once again has done a good job in the transfer market with the budget at his disposal :thumbright: :thumbright:

Lee Camp a top earner? :o :o

Shocking waste of money yet again by our club.

An ageing crock signed when injured and given loads of money for doing sweet fanny adams.

Will they never learn?

And you know this for certain?Has it occurred to you that if he gets match fit he'll be worth a fee in the summer.

We all knew (or should have) that there was only going to be a limited amount of money to spend. Both Tan and Warnock had made that clear, Tan ever since we returned to blue. I think considering our financial situation, Warnock has done about as good as he could have. We also have to remember that just because a player is available and within our price range, there is no guarantee that player wants to come to Cardiff.

Irrespective of whether or not you agree with Mr Tan, he has made it clear that he wants to see this club eventually operate within it's means, and become self sufficient. He has stuck to his word so far, and I could never see us spending big this transfer window. It's not just the initial cost and possible add- ons, there are wages, agents fees etc which also have to be taken into account.

We need Gunners back ASAP and Brayson as back up and I think we will have a fighting chance...I think we are stronger followeing this window rather than weaker but time will tell and I am feeling positive rather than negative towards the next 18 games and beyond

Both of you, where have I mentioned Tan?? ?

I have only talked about NEIL WARNOCK and I am praising his astute transfers with a small budget, you’ve both lost me?

Not aimed at you. This was not meant to be critical of anyone, just stating the reasons I believe there was no big name signing, and that I think Warnock did ok given the circumstances.

I don't know that he's one of the top earners for certain - I am just commenting on what Annis said in his initial post.

I do know for certain that he was injured when we signed him and that he's not even been on the bench for the first team since we signed him and I find the suggestion that anyone would pay a fee for him in the summer laughable but no, I don't know that for certain either.

To date he has been a complete waste of wages - that I AM certain of.

Ben Watson released by Watford if he still wants a centre mid.

Get in there quick before forest tie up the deal

Re: ' Warnock never stopped trying and Wanted '

Thu Feb 01, 2018 5:25 pm

David

Lee Tomlin def in our top 4 earners.

And Lee Camp was signed as our NO 1 goalie and I have been told we gave him high wages, def the best wages of all our goalkeepers and def in our top 10 earners of our whole squad.

If your saying that Warnock had a small war chest to begin with you have to ask the following, how much does Tan want promotion to the Premiership and did Warnock make the most of what funds he had,I would prefer to keep my judgment untill the season is over

What ever happens now Warnock will have achieved way above what was expected of him, with mostly free agents/free transfers and having to get rid of players to make way for new ones :thumbright: :bluebird:

As to spending in Jan, most were loan players with even Liverpool paying the wages, swop deals, free agents and yes £2mill was spent but half that thankfully came from the Man City game, gate receipts/sponsors and tv rights :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Annis when will you credit the board along with Warnock when it comes to the financial side of players, fees, wages?

You make out Warnock does the whole lot signs off the transfers as well.

Re: ' Warnock never stopped trying and Wanted '

Thu Feb 01, 2018 6:30 pm

If I was a board member, I would not be impressed with Warnocks transfer dealings, by bringing in Tomlin, Camp and Bogle, not playing them and then loaning them out. It dosen't say a lot about his judgment IMO

largely agree. the reality is that whilst we are a championship club we will never be self sufficient, though.

he's certainly given warnock a few quid to have a go now, but its peanuts compared to the likes of villa and wolves, not that i expect tan to chuck money like that around.

Re: ' Warnock never stopped trying and Wanted '

Not sure how Warnock can get much credit in this transfer window when he shipped out players he signed in the last one. Tomlin was his main target in the summer too. Hope he’s got it right this time but whatever happens I’m right behind him.

Very difficult just clearing the debts in the first place. I agree, almost impossible for a club like us to be self sufficient outside of the PL. We will always need a backer with plenty of money to keep us competitive as long as we are playing at this level.

It's great that the board and Warnock seem to be on the same wave length. I was hoping Tan/the board wouldn't panic ansld waste big money in January I'm an attempt for promotion. I think we know money doesn't guaretee promotion and it would have undone all the hard work over the last couple of years rebuilding the financial side.

I think although we have spent a few million it's been done in the right way, the loans give us that depth as well.

I agree about being stronger, we haven’t lost anyone who’s important to the team

My issue is there’s question marks over so many of the players we’ve signed. None of them have the feel of a Frazier Campbell when we signed him for example, but that doesn’t mean they won’t work out well for us I guess

Re: ' Warnock never stopped trying and Wanted '

Thu Feb 01, 2018 7:56 pm

Of course we don’t know know how well these players will do but Grujic is real quality and will help us keep the ball and get us on the front foot, I think.
Ward is aggressive, pacey and can cross which will suit our style of play. Madine is not subtle but might prove very effective with our direct approach.
I am most impressed with our ditching Tomlin - we have held on to expensive mistakes for years in the past!
We now have so many options up front and in attacking midfield. Still without a natural defensive midfielder with Damour, Ralls and Grujic wanting to get forward so we’ll have to see how that works. A proactive and positive window - let’s hope it proves more Colin genius!

I think it's just look petty on his part because we sit here and credit everyone involved but you swear Warnock runs this club, does all the ticket office jobs, stadium tours etc.. does he realise there are other people who worked hard off the field to get the club to the where it is.
