Skilful Player/Warnock

I remember a couple weeks ago someone mentioned a player Warnock had always wanted to sign but never been in a position to etc. Was that player Grabban or someone else or just guesswork on someone's behalf? It may of been mentioned or answered previously but don't remember reading any names regarding the particular player.
