Warnocks 3 out of 10

Thu Feb 01, 2018 8:08 am

NW has made some very poor signings such as Camp, Bogle, Tomlin, Feeney, Fleischer (if that's how you spell it) and to some extent Bryson and Danny Ward.
Is Jamie Ward going to be another waste of time and money.
On the plus side he did sign Bamba, Laing and Hoilett.
3 good out of 10.
Not a good school report.

Difference is we wont be left with a unmanagable amount of dead if they dont work out....unlike previous managers.

Can’t really count feltsher, he was here for two weeks and cost f**k all

Which ward are you talking about?

Feeney was just signed as cover , low wages, not exactly someone to focus on

I rate him Wez. Just laughing at all the negative posts about him. He's been around long enough to know what the championship is all about :thumbright:

Unfortunately there are a lot of idiots who post on message boards who think they know more than someone who’s been in football for 50yrs. Can’t get it right 100% of the time but still knows more than we do. :banghead:

I'll wait until the end of the season before I give Warnock marks out of 10. Just because a player has not set the world alight at one particular club does not mean he won't perform at another one, and vice versa. They have to have a fair chance before judging them.

What an odd thread, randomly picked a few players, to make very little point really.

Warnock signings that I can think of:

Excellent signings
Bamba
Hoilett

Good signings – All cost next to no money, have done well for us when used.
Mendez Laing
Paterson
Etheridge
Damour
Bryson

Players who I think will come good
Ward – Thought he done well before his injury, would not put as a poor signing.
Bogle – Has potential, glad to see him loaned out, get some games and confidence as clearly down the pecking order now.

Poor singings
Tomlin – Mainly due to cost and the fact he would not use him even as sub
Halford – Personally don’t rate
Feeney – squad player but I don’t really see the point but fills a gap, probably not poor but not good.
Camp – Never fit enough to play

The new signings only time will tell but like the look of Wildchut and got high hopes for Grujic as well. Medine I think will fit in very well and Traore we will see but good to have competition for left back. Ward I know little about so will wait and see

Camp - Injured whilst he's been here
Bogle - Second best minutes per goal in our squad, questionable why NW didn't use him more
Tomlin - Relied on Tomlin putting the effort in, in return for NW allowing him to travel from Leicester, this arrangement just didn't work out, which happens
Feeney - Been signed on loan to do a job, which he's done fairly successfully
Feltscher - Signed when we were struggling for fit defenders, clearly just a backup player
Bryson - Solid player for us, shame he got injured
D. Ward - Best minutes per goal in the squad

Not sure where the negatives of these signings are? We're currently 4th, five of the players above have contributed to that.

But he has improved those that we do have significantly.
