Johnny Russell

Why the hell didn't we try and sign Johnny Russell from Derby? He would of been a brilliant signing and he would of cost us a lot less than what we paid for Gary Madine. Russell would have been a quality partner for Zohore and he would have chipped in with a fair few goals and more assists. He didn’t want to sign a new contract at Derby and he was out of contract in the summer. Now, he has moved to the MLS and signed for Sporting Kansas City. I would of preferred us to have loaned Tomlin to Forest and instead of us receiving Ward, we could have bought Russell.

Perhaps because Derby are highly unlikely to sell one of their players to a promotion rival?????

In previous reports Russell had stated he wanted to play in the MLS. His decision.

Russell is a small quick winger, Madine is a big target man. It's not even a comparison.

We signed yanic who plays on the wing who could be a great signing for us so reserve your complaints for now.

Why for people think that we can sign anyone who becomes available? Firstly they got to be at right price and 2nd they must want to come here? both things out of our hands!
