Much happier with Madine than Grabban

Wed Jan 31, 2018 10:58 pm

Look at the impact Chris Wood has had to see how a big man does. That sort of player terrifies defenders. Grabban has pace but is 30 now three years older than Madine. Once the pace goes what then? This signing is a signing for this year and next few years.

In Warnock I trust.

It looks like Warnock did really want him, and he knows best, we need a big strong Striker that's good in the air, and that's what he is, I wasn't sure but I am coming round to the idea now :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Good man. That’s what we like to see.

Positive Petes not negative Nigels

Go get 'em Gary! Hopefully he'll give Kenno a kick up the arse and they'll score the goals to take us back to the Prem. Respect the to the Tan for making funds available. In Warnock we trust :-)

Let's see who scores, and gets the most assists.
For the remainder of the season.
My monies on Madine :)

Good OP. I think Madine will offer something we haven’t really got in the squad, a target man who’s good in the air and able to bring goal scoring wingers into play. Grabban is probably the better player overall, but Madine may very well be better suited to our needs. Plus Madine wanted to sign for Cardiff City. :bluebird:

Good post and the last bit is the important part. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I tend to never notice the opposition unless they really stand out ( I remember Tomlin and Bamba playing well agianst us and Barry Bannan this year ) so really can't comment on either. From what I gather Grabban is more like Zohore whilst Madine is more your battering ram, if that's the case Madine would be the better option with Zohore playing off him but I don't know where that leaves Wildshut or NML

Better Record than Hugill and he just gone to Wet Spam -

Jordan Hugill
Preston - 283 mins per goal - 2265 mins played - 8 Goals scored - 1 Assists
Shots on target 16 Total shots 43 - percentage on target 37%

Gary Madine
Bolton - 247 mins per goal-- 2468 mins played- 10 Goals scored - 5 Assists
Shots on target 30 Total shots 61 - percentage on target 49%

Playing in a struggling team, where his is the main threat and heavily marked, hopefully here he will have more room provided our wide players perform, and we have plenty of options there now !!!

i'd suggest he would do better in a struggling team where he is the main star rather than in a side thats more rounded.

I wanted Grabban but Medine will probably fit us better for what we need.
