I can't see anything other than a permanent deal. He's a very good footballer, but there are obvious off the ball issues that influence a move to the East Midlands!

I’d be gutted for him location wise it makes sense but if we aren’t getting a like for like swap then we’re back to no creativity in the centre of the park to link up the attack

He might stay yet lads and he’s still a City player til that point - he’s not played mostly because Warnock doesn’t set the team up that way, I think he’d be a genuine loss

Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Jamie Ward from Nottingham Forest.

The 31-year-old joins the Bluebirds for the remainder of the 2017/18 season, subject to international clearance.

The deal sees Lee Tomlin move in the opposite direction, with his loan deal with the Reds also running until the end of the current campaign. We wish Lee all the very best during his time at the City Ground.
