Warnock on his 'No.1' target Gary Madine

NEIL WARNOCK:

"He’s been my number one choice all season and I’m delighted to capture him."

"He’s been worth the wait, although I must admit that it wasn’t until the last 24 hours that I thought it might be possible. I must thank Vincent, Mehmet and Ken for their hard work in getting this over the line. I’m sure the fans will join me in welcoming Gary to the club."

We was linked with early on in the window so there is an element truth in him saying his no1 target, I hope he behaves on and off the field.

Warnock loves saying this about every player he’s signed

We have indeed heard that before!

Let's hope he's more successful than the last "Number One target" that he signed in the summer!

4 established strikers we have on the books now, plus pilkington 5 if you count him- the wage bill is steadily increasing.

didnt warnock say he would mainly look at loans? hopefully the club secured a decent price for him.

Sounds like he did want Madine over Grabban, he thinks he suits our style, expect more crosses, and long throws, and fingers crossed a goal scoring Striker for a change.

A decent on form Striker will leave more space for Mendez and Hoilett, like Zohore did in the first five games, so this could be a missive plus for us. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Bogle now gone, pilks not a striker and as for meite, he is on loan but miles from considered a player for us

From my understanding there were 3 players at the CCS this evening, 2 have gone through, not sure on the last one at the moment

grabban hasn't played since leaving Sunderland to force a move . he's been training on his own so obviously howe thought he was disruptive I think we are better off with a fit and firing striker like madine who knows how to score in the championship I'm happy.

Prefer a hungry championship battler than an ex premier money grabber who probably thinks he shoukdn’ be in this league

Maybe Healey will get more of a chance now Bogle has gone.
Forest have signed players for fun and Ben Watson also on his way there apparently. Pity we can't step in now he's a free agent.

We'll get Gunners, Bryson, Connolly, peltier oh and Fred back soon more than enough I would think

We could be still stuck with Slade or Trollope or even worse OGS and trying to get out of League 1..... :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Signing a load of players in jan doesn't mean success, it has been unsettling.

If you do your job well enough in the summer like Warnock has you should only need a couple of players.
