a tackle from behind

Ive heard lots of people talking about Refs who now probably about 90% of the time find in favour of the attacker when a defender tries to "tackle" from behind when in reality they are just standing their ground but the attacker always goes down like hes been shot by a sniper, its become the easiest free kick in football, and its putting me off the sport to be honest.

Refs seem to be compelled to make a decision of a free kick every time a player goes to ground in this type of situation, rather then say its six of one and half a dozen of another and get on with the game and play on...

It'll be a non contact Sport in years to come.
