The 22-year-old is understood to be keen on a move away from St James' Park amid an ongoing controversy surrounding the club's under-23s coach Peter Beardsley.

Beardsley has since been suspended by the club pending the outcome of an investigation into accusations of bullying and racist discrimination, although he denies all allegations against him.

Exactly.
If this story is true, Warnock may see him as a good prospect for now and next season.
NML off form big time, Harris going nowhere for so long, Feeny going back end of season and Yannick here on loan also.
You look at building at this club not just the next game but it’s much easier to be naive and moan and be negative.

Of course the rumour is probably all bollocks anyway!
