I agree with this. I think Mansfield would have done better than us today. Purely because they would have been in Man city's faces and put them under pressure and been a nuisance. We showed far too much respect and gave them far too much time on the ball.

No mate, I was not suggesting we don't try but I think our tactics were right considering the opponent. We had our chances and on another day with a bit of luck those chances just may have kept the game a bit more interesting.

Without a doubt if we would have gone all out attack Man City would have ripped us apart.

Man City arnt the typical British side, they don't have designated positions on the pitch as such, you push up on them and they just create more space being comfortable on the ball they can pass and receive under pressure.

Sadly it's just a case, Man City were on their game and nothing we did would have changed it - might sound defeatist but it's just reality no shame in it.

As for losing 6-0 instead of 2-0, don't forget we are in a promotion battle, over confidence is low as it is losing 6-0 really won't help!

As far as I'm concerned we treated it for what it was a chance to earn some extra revenue and give the fans the chance to see world class players in the flesh.
