City were on a hiding to nothing today and (given the gulf in finance and quality between them) put up a pretty good show. I certainly enjoyed the game and (judging by the excellent atmosphere produced for a change) I thought most of those in attendance did, too
I think that Pep Guardiola learned lots from his team's games v Bristol City recently and had his team better prepared for what Cardiff City had to offer. His team were patient, didn't give the ball away easily and were frighteningly fast in their counter attacking at every opportunity
I think two of the things that impressed me most today were (a) Man City's cohesion as a unit, and (b) how players (Sterling in particular) didn't stop trying to go forward for the whole 90 minutes, whilst chasing back to defend whenever required
It is also worth noting that several Premier League sides have performed a lot poorer than Cardiff City did when playing Manchester City this season!
Good day for Cardiff City (no embarrassment and a financial success) and it all bodes well for the remainder of a season in which we can now concentrate on the job in hand. We're still 3rd, within a game win of 2nd and at least two more players to come in this week, according to reports
Well done Cardiff City and its supporters today; but over now and time to move on!![]()

Anyone criticising our performance needs to get real.
