SEAN MORRISON: “NEIL WARNOCK”

SEAN MORRISON:

Saunday 28th Jan 2018

“Pep is going to find our gaffer a bit of a character,” says centre-back Morrison of what the Catalan can expect when he meets Cardiff’s veteran gaffer. “He is very charismatic and I think the majority of people are very fond of him.

“If you look at him on the sideline game from game you can see the passion and commitment that pours out of him. He will have a disagreement with a fourth official one minute and the next he is laughing and joking with the referee. When you see that, especially during a game, the commitment is obvious and I think that’s why the Cardiff City fans have taken to him so well.

“Certainly for us for us he’s a great character to have around the building. There was a training match yesterday and, like he loves to do, he was refereeing it. You could hear him throughout the whole game. He was in the middle of the park with his yellow bib on barking orders, making jokes and taking the mickey out of the players.

“He’s not the best referee in the world – he makes some terrible decisions sometimes – but he is fantastic and the boys love it. To have your manager stood in the middle of the pitch refereeing a game means the amount of respect we have for him, and he has for us, is beyond anything I can explain.”
