Jenkins Suprised me

Fri Aug 06, 2010 9:11 pm

I'm suprised but glad with the fact that Jenkins has come out and admitted that now we've left our Transfer Embargo, we could go back into a third.

Got to give the thumbs up to him on this one. Hopefully he'll stick to this idea and we'll be hearing more truth no matter how harsh it may be.

If we get the signings and squad we need over the next couple of weeks it won't matter , I personally think we are already stronger than last season with possibly 4 more to come

Dafydd I asked the club at the meeting in June to be honest with the fans and hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Which is why I'm suprised, yet glad. He's finally seeing that the fans NEED the truth, as it'll benefit the club.

Personally I have been very impressed with Jenkins so far. I liked his honesty about the embargo.

And he's better looking than P Riddy. Althoug I'm sure there's at least 1 woman at the club who wouldn't agree

Egg chaser or not, Jenkins deserves a chance. The only egg chasers at our club who need to leave are PMG.

I agree that the openness was surprising and to a degree, refreshing.

However we will all be so glad of the transparency, if HRMC decide that this basically amounts to an admission that we will continue to be late with tax payments and they therefore decide to further increase the pressure on us - especially less than a week before a court case; will it be so good if the football league take a view that we are deliberately bending the rules (cheating) and therefore decide to try and implement some form of punishment?

The problem with honesty (business sense), is that you can only ever please some of the people some of the time - some things should remain confidential so as not to 'panic' those that would wish to exploit such opportunity.

Apart from appeasing a few fans, i'm yet to be convinced that the statement GJ made yesterday will prove to be positive for the football club. I hope i'm proved wrong.
