How many players do we need to sign this transfer window?

With the transfer window now open and its looks like its going to be an interesting one. I was wondering how many players do we realistically need to help drive our promotion bid? With the state the club is in with injuries i'm concerned our squad is clearly not big enough to cope. In my mind we need at least 3 - 4 quality signing whether they are loan or permanent.
After seeing various news sites i'm really concerned with the names being linked with us... Come on 1 million on a league 2 player who isn't tested at this level.. Should we, can we aim for a better quality player than that? I trust Warnock but i don't believe that the board share the fans passion about going up. Football has changed and not for the better in my opinion. The prices for players is absolutely crazy but that where we are right now, gone of the days where you can find a bargain 250k signing. To get quality you have to pay for quality. Warnock is not Malky and not Ole, he won't waste millions on players who can't cut it. Back him please and get us the 3 - 4 signings we need.

A first choice midfielder
A back up striker
A young centre half with potential
Minimum for me.
Would also like a quality right back and right winger but that's asking a bit much

With our injury list we could do with about eleven in if possible.

A first team midfielder is a must and a back up striker probably needed with Ward out.

after watching today's performance we need a minimum of 5 players. I lost faith in Mendez Laing, Manga and Zohore. So for me we need to go and sign

Central Defender
Of course Tan won't give Warnock a huge war chest but we i feel we need a war chest of at least 7 million. Hopefully we can get some loan signings in.

7m in Jan won't go far, would destroy all the hard work of us trying to break even. A couple of mill max
