Why would we pay to develop someone else's player in our under 23's?

I am not feeling at all confidant about January signings tbh, certainly a Rotherham defender who are outside League 1 play offs doesn't fill me with confidence. I know about FFP rules but surely we should be aiming higher than League 1 players to get us out of the dip we are in.

Yes he may be cover but to be able to cover quality players you need players who are just as good.

I am (perhaps incorrectly) assuming that this is the other way and we are loaning out a defender.

The Rotherham fans certainly think it is this way around.
