I will give my full support to this signing if this comes off. A very interesting one, he's proven he's way too good for League 2 level. 44 goals in 74 games for Forest Green in all competitions and he's scored 17 goals in 32 games this season in a struggling team. I'm sure Annis would know a lot about him as he's a Newport lad!
I think I remember him scoring against us when he made his debut for Forest Green in a friendly. He's still a good age at 25 as well and will no doubt be more hungry than a Premiership loan, especially as he's a Newport lad who will be coming back home. Good to see us going for Welsh players.

Cwmbran boy, really nice lady. He used to join in with the lads team I ran at the football factory where he worked. Really worked hard for his chance and deserves a go. Pleased for him that he's getting on, really nice fella.

We need better bogle meite etc

Is he a fox in the box ? We need someone to tap the ball in ?

Can't be worse than Doyle (I hope). Have to trust Warnock on this. That's assuming this is not just another rumour, because we all know we are going to be linked with every player under the sun during the next few weeks.

He's 6'2" and has played basketball for Wales (so can probably jump high

)and just Youtubed him and hes scored some good headed goals

Wez, you know white men can't jump!
On a serious note, this could be a bold but positive mood, if true. He certainly knows where the goal is and at QPR a decent 'up front' striker would have had a hat-trick!

That's my thinking too, Chris

I went to see FGR play Carlisle the weekend before Xmas with a mate who supports Carlisle. I watched this guy and to be honest I did not think that he was that good. He did not get many chances but in truth he did not really go looking for them - a bit static.
It's not fair to judge on one performance but from what I saw I would prefer Bogle and Healey.

Getting any Welsh players in excites me, particularly when it is someone I've eyed up as a future Jamie Vardy non league riser for some time now.

Don't sign players because their Welsh. Sign players who can improve the team.

Not saying just buy Welsh players for the sake of it, but if we are linked with a Welsh player it is certainly more exciting.

Just youtubed him and he looks nearly as good as Cornelius did on YouTube.
Wed Jan 03, 2018 3:32 pm
Well, Cornelius plays for his country and has done really well in European football, so this fella must be good!

Cornelius was wrong place at wrong time, the guy is clearly a big talent.

Why? So because De Bruyne and Salah were rubbish at Chelsea they're bad players?

It was the wrong time 4/5 years to early for the prem, that's not saying he can cut the mustard now because I very much doubt he can.

At no point in Salah or De Bruyne's career did they ever look as if they'd never set foot on a football pitch or had no technique. Unlike Cornelius !
Their issues were about physicality and, too a lesser extent, decision making. Both of which can be worked on. Just look at their records over the years with different clubs, it proves they could perform.
Nobody will ever convince me that Cornelius is a big talent. He is coming up to 25 years of age now and has scored 2 league goals all season, is that really something that indicates that he "is
clearly a
big talent" ? Not in my book I'm sorry
Thu Jan 04, 2018 12:29 pm
Well we certainly need another striker and he would definetly be the best at headers and winning the ball in the air as despite their size Zohore and Bogle are both pretty crap at this. So I would welcome my fellow Cwmbran local to the club.

By big talent I didn't mean he's going to be world class, but he's playing top flight football for a reason.

Harry Kane look alike, if we sign him lets hope he is as good.

Guys I'm sure if this link is true, it's certainly not on the sentiment that he is Welsh.
