The buck stops with Warnock

Mon Jan 01, 2018 6:19 pm

It's his team regardless if we have over achieived the first half of the season losing four games like the way we have the buck stops with him.
But i will say under Warnock we have done very well up until the christmas period we have suffered a fair share of injuries and some players could do with a rest which hasn't been possible..
We are still in touch with an automatic place the transfer window is open and Warnock has proved time and again he knows what he's doing.
Tomlin will play an important part soon and with a few astute signings i expect to be brought in i wouldn't mind betting we will go on a run of undefeated games in the next couple of weeks..
We are having a terrible run of form we have lost four games but we are still in touching distance of second place.
Inn my opinion the best time to hit good form is from Febuary onwards and i think we will whilst some others might falter :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Injuries? Lack of cash to spend? Compared to last season when we could have been relegated .......

too many injuries ..and then injuries to those replacing injured players..resulting in constant changes and more than likely people in the squad not quite recovered or carrying small knocks.
peoples biggest grumble about OGS was the constant changes without need...we all thought it didnt work and cost us..?..he made 19 game to game changes in his 7 championship games..Warnock has made 17 in our last 7..the difference was OGS chose too and replaced like for like..or did it tactically...where as NW has had to do it through necessity with very little choice re formation other than to look at the fitest 11 and try and conjure something up that might work..
if people thought constant change with fit players wasnt going to work..how can change because some of your better players are injured work..??

im all for him taking criticism as well as praise..but not under these circumstances.

I agree,at the moment he's trying to get a quart out of a pint pot.If Morrison had been playing with Gunners sat in front of him things would probably look completely different now.At least the Morrison snipers should disappear up their own arses now.

Yes they’ve gone very quiet on the subject!

i've always been sceptical of warnock, but he's certainly earned the right to have a poor run. we now have several players worth many millions, and a bit of fight and team spirit. you can't put a price on that :ayatollah:

There are people on this forum that just love the negative angles. If you have a strong football education you all should know what is going on. I trust Warnock 100%

No one has a right to have a go - the guy has taken us from 23rd to recently 2nd with very little money. Why do people have such short memories?

Warnock Positves
1/ Warnock has put a waring club back together
2/ Many fans have fallen back in love with the club again.
3/ Kept us up last season when most of us thought we would go down after Trollepe
4/Put together a team on a shoestring budget
5/Been in the top 4 all season despite many clubs breaking the bank on signings and are still below us.
6/Having a team that will fight to the very end
7/ Having a relationship with our manager not seen since Eddie May

Warnock Negatives
1/Been on a bit of a bad run the last four games
2/ Ummm ohhhh ummm let me think ohhh hang on ..........I’m thinking :?: ummmm he is now quite old

I have a strong football education thanks - it is easy to tell you what is going on 4 straight defeats and a draw to a second division club with a strong side put out.

I for one am not bashing NW but we all agree we should be beating Mansfield.

A genuine question - a what point do you accept that the manager has to accept some criticism ?

I still stand by my opinion where we will finish in the league and that is mid to top half of the table the positives he has made by uniting the club and bringing fans back in love with football - he just needs to find the magic formula again with the great football we were playing before. Some results in December have papered over the cracks such as reading and hull.

We need to bounce back next week

Some new blood now desperately needed.
Nml a shadow of the player he was, confidence is low.
This happens to most players and he should now be rested to recover his form.
He has not become a bad player overnight.
Like a few in the team, they desperately need a break.

I am sorry but the manager and team have to be prepared to take criticism when things ain't going right, if this was Trollope or Slade it would be murder on here.

Totally agree. I'm a big fan of Warnock and nobody can deny he's done an amazing job , but his excuses smack of desperation and there are certain players like Bryson and Halford who have been unconvincing.
He praised Tomlin but has hardly given him a run in the team....our most creative player!
