Vince Alm: In need of some reinforcements with players still

Mon Jan 01, 2018 6:12 pm

VINCE ALM:

"A better performance created some good chances today, but another loss."

"Luck and key decisions still not going our way, but plenty of effort, fight and good attitude from the squad".

"In need of some reinforcements with players still out and others playing who are clearly not 100 per cent."

"Key two weeks for Warnock and the club before our next home game. Do not panic and write us off just yet, never look at the table until end of January."

"Very good support from the majority who travelled today got behind the team right up to the whistle." :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

We're 2 points off 2nd place and on other days, a performance like today's would have got us at least a point.
We just need to take our chances and be a little tighter at the back.

We have 2 weeks off now (thank god for that) and hopefully this will be a massive benefit for us, as the first team players will now get a break, Injured players will hopefully return to full fitness (Morrison, Jazz, Bryson, and Harris) And injured players who we have had to play in the squad because of lack of numbers will get to recover like Bennett, NML, Zohore, and Bogle. And hopefully we'll get the new players in by the time we play Sunderland. Positives

Bristol City just got stuffed five nil, and they have two extra games against Man City in January, we need Derby and Villa to have a blip, but we re till in this :ayatollah:

Unbelievable :banghead: this squad has got us to within 2 points of 2nd place. You can't spend until the window opens, therefore I would suggest that Tan and Warnock have got it pretty spot on so far

Warnock seems pretty sure he'll get what he asks for in January (as long as the players he wants agree to come to us) so where exactly has Tan got things wrong this season ?

At some point there has to be some responsibility taken by the manager and players, it can't be Tan every time we have a slip up.

We're competing on the revenue from 16-18000 crwods against teams like Wolves, Derby, Leeds, Villa, Boro, etc., who have significantly bigger averages and income.

If Tan spends big now the next criticism will be that he's increased the debt and risked a transfer embargo  He can't do anything right in some people's eyes.
