You Couldn’t Make It Up

Mon Jan 01, 2018 5:24 pm

Been a disastrous week or so with four consecutive defeats having only lost 3 since August. Once you get in a downward spiral it’s difficult to get out of.

It’s just bizarre that we seem to be overrun in midfield & lack creativity yet players seem to be rested ‘as a pre caution’ and Tomlin doesn’t get a look in. Just seems that even though Zohore is back he is being starved of possession.

Is it just me? At the start of the season we attacked teams and scored for fun now it’s a case of sitting back and hoping for a fortuitous break or a set piece goal. A classic example was against Preston when it appeared as though Preston were the home team. There was only one team that was going to win that game as Preston chased for the victory in the last 15 mins whilst we seemed content with a point and hitting them on the break. Again today we only seemed to come to life after we fell 2-1 behind. Why can’t we go out from the start of a match and take the game to weaker teams?

We have had injuries but the depth or lack of depth in the squad has really shone in recent games. Hope the club bring in a couple of new faces particularly in midfield, re group and go again after a great first half of the season. All the hard work seems to be being undone.

Missleading headline. I don't know which part would of been hard to envisage

Is it just me or do we go through the gears and take teams on when we have got hardly any time to do anything about things?
