Lee Tomlin must score goals
By Tom Coleman
When Warnock signed him in the summer, the Yorkshireman described Lee Tomlin as the "missing piece " of his ongoing puzzle at Cardiff City.
There is little question that Tomlin has the talent needed to get fans on their feet in this division, but he has cut a frustrated figure at times with first team opportunities sometimes proving difficult to come by.
The defeat to Preston arguably went some way to summing up Tomlin's season in the Welsh capital , in a game where he produced flashes of magic, rather than full spells of quality. Warnock clearly wants to see more.
Like Zohore, you get the feeling we're yet to see the best of Tomlin in a Cardiff shirt this season. If he is to match up to the pre-season fanfare that has to change quickly.
There is far more to Lee Tomlin than we have seen so far, which includes just one goal.
He has the ability to net with more frequency than that. Scoring more goals might also force Warnock's hand and ensure he is picked to start on a more regular basis.
