Kenneth Zohore needs to prove he's worth £20 million
By Tom Coleman
Despite his stunning goal in the defeat to Fulham, striker Kenneth Zohore is obviously still some way of his best after returning from his recent injury absence.
Nevertheless, even before his spell on the sidelines there were questions about the striker's form, with the Dane netting just three times before his cracker against the west Londoners.
Warnock made a promise in the summer that the striker would soon be worth £20 million , but it's difficult to see any team forking out that amount based on current form.
Of course, injuries have hampered his chances of getting back to his best, but he desperately needs to get himself firing on full cylinders if he is to prove Warnock's prediction correct.
Zohore's goal-getting ability could yet be the difference between Cardiff going up or not.

I sometimes wonder if writers like this guy have ever played or been involved in football at any level?

His goal scoring rate does not justify that price tag alone.
However I do believe he has the build for a classic striker and would most likely benefit in a more better playing team. I would say a premiership team could take a gamble on him and might get that price tag for him if it works out.
Problem for Kenneth now is we need a forward who can grab hold of a game and do something special while our midfielders struggle. He is not that sort of player.

Who put a £20million price tag on him?
The press, his agent, Warnock to keep clubs away? I don’t know but it’s often been bandied about but I don’t think he’s worth half that at the moment.
Saying that, he’s has the potential to become a much better player in my opinion whether that’s here or another club.

If any club offers half of that in january i would snap there hands off for it and go spend the money on 2 midfielders and a striker.

I think we'll keep all players who Warnock wants until end of the season.
Could of got maybe £12m end of last season but think he'll stay for now

If a championship striker with 4 goals to his name half way through the season is worth £20m, it proves that the football world has gone totally crazy.

I agree. Having a football-playing background has no relevance, as many ex-pros constantly prove; it's all about proper observation and understanding of what you're seeing
Just look how that non-footballer Jose Mourinho turned out...and he was originally an interpreter at Barca!

The service Zohore is getting lately is very poor all he's been getting is high balls hoofed up towards him.
If we start playing properly again and he gets better service i'm sure he will return to form

He is not worth that amount now but given an injury free run I think he could go close to a £20m valuation.

Never understand why posters have to attack the person rather than the opinion?
IMO those who do that lack real understanding and intelligence of the subject.

Lazy scouting from prem. Always go for the fashionable name for the month and rarely do they scouting over a season or 2. He's a average with potential nothing more. I'd prefer ruddy gestede

Would sell him tomorrow and buy a proven goal scorer.

Im probably going to get a little heat for this but i would of sold him back in the summer. If we got 20million for him i would be laughing all the way to the bank. Zohore is still green and still has a lot to learn.
Im not saying he a bad player and the lack of goals has a lot to do with the lack of service. What im saying is that i question whether he should be our main source of goals.
We need a 20+ goal scorer and im afraid he not it

Better regular service will mean, more chances hopefully leading to more goals, improved confidence and valuation.

Correct, Tony...but it's the only response they lack the intellect to think and a desperate need to comment!

sorry but i think youll find Jose has been in and around football his entire life .and no he wasnt originally an interperater he was a coach at the club that had a good understanding of English ..and therefore was useful to Robson to translate..
of course everyone has opinions..but to suggest spending hours and hours playing, or coaching constantly learning has no relevance is way off..
