Last nights parks ref

Okay, another sub-standard referee but no shocks there! Another referee who feels duty bound to give a free kick to either side the moment there is any physical contact. But my god, what a complete and utter useless piece of refereeing I have ever seen in all of my many many years of supporting the City when he let that complete dope of a Preston center forward make him look like a parks ref for the incident in injury time.

To make matters worse he eventually booked a City player for doing what every one in the ground wanted to do and smash that cheat's face all over the pitch.

Preston will know doubt think he was a hero for wasting time and "doing a Warnock" but its moments like that you realise, if you didn't already, that football as a mans game is dead and buried and question why do I want to pay to watch so called footballers cheat like that?

Tom Finney and alike would turn in their graves at the thought of that Preston player antics last night.

How he let him get away with getting back over the advertising hoardings and then falling over on the pitch is beyond belief.

yes, the ref was utter garbage - should have sent Pearson off too for a second nasty challenge straight after his yellow card. Lets face it though, he was a parks ref, reffing a parks game of football. Two desperately poor sides on show last night.
