" Neil Warnock’s ambitions are being frustrated "

Sat Dec 30, 2017 12:27 pm

Neil Warnock’s ambitions are being frustrated by a long injury list which includes captain Sean Morrison (groin), Danny Ward (knee), Kadeem Harris (ankle) and Jazz Richards (ankle), while Lee Tomlin is a highly creative playmaker who doesn’t look 100 per cent fit.

Plus players like Gunnarsson and Joe Bennett being injured lately.

Kenneth Zohore & Patterson still have got a long way to go,till they are 100%.

Rem we don't have the biggest squad and Warnock next week will bring 2-3 players in :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Also rem, Warnock has had peanuts to spend compared to the Championship clubs :bluebird:

Now manager Neil Warnock and his players go to Queens Park Rangers on New Year’s Day intent on starting 2018 in style.

Neil Warnock:

“It’s up to me now to lift the lads,” said Warnock. “I have to smarten it up, do things, change things and make sure we don’t feel sorry for ourselves.

“We won’t get down. We’ll get on with it, but I have got to do something in the next few days to give them a lift because it is difficult losing three on the trot.

“We’ll have a good following at QPR and the lads will be ready when I’m finished with them because we’re better than that.

“Even with the problems we have injury-wise we can do more, but it’s down to me and I have to do something different.”

Warnock is ready to back his players to the hilt and says: “I can’t fault the effort, they are trying their hardest.

“They’ve given me everything, but I was disappointed with the result.

“We lacked a little bit of quality in certain areas. We are lacking in midfield, but we only have two fit.

“It’s a sloppy goal and it’s a cruel game sometimes, but when you see the number of lads missing you realise what we’re without.”

He has done and continues to an incredible job given the budget and injuries we’ve had. It’s painful today because we’ve lost 3 on the bounce, but we’d all have taken this points tally back in August.

It’ll be good to get some new bodies in and existing bodies back and then hopefully he’ll be able to get them kicking on again!

Well said Annis.

The team didn't lack effort we lacked energy and if you consider how thin our squad is and the time of years it's to be expected.

Let's not kid ourselves as last night was awful with long ball and no creative play.

Its a worry but I'm sure it's play offs at worst.
