" General fitness at the club "

Is it me or is it just very poor? Players all seem to take weeks or months to recover from innocuous injuries, we have players who seem to have no dietary plan, eg Tomlin and players that get injured not playing football, Pilkington injured on a bus and then Bennett and Bryson picking up injuries when there isn’t a game. Got to question our back room staff big time, sports nutrition and rehab is big business these days but seems to have bypassed the CCS.

Mmmmm also the ‘players are shattered ‘ line is an odd one as I’d imagine Preston players have played around the same amount of games

Huw,

Our players don't seem to be able to ply two halves of the game and players like Paterson and Tomlin look unfit still ? ?

I've thought this myself.

Q; do players train over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

The players do look tired to me, not in the sense they aren't trying but they aren't Sharpe, second to every ball. Injuries have meant we haven't been able to swap things about as much but then I don't think we have used the squad to it's full lately.

Tomlin and patterson aren't fit and not sure why.

What's happened to Kadeem Harris?

We are playing the same players week in week out and also getting them back after injuries quick coz we havnt got a squad with depth

Disagree, don't think our squad strength is actually that weak. We've been decimated by injuries and yet we've never once had to throw a youngster onto the bench. Most teams in the league have one or two youngsters on the bench every game.

i`m a runner and if i was training 30 boys and 10 of them picked up injuries i would be questioning my training methods. If a player is unfit due to eating to much and being overweight then dont sign them full stop. If earning thousands a week doesnt motivate them to eat healthy then feck all a manager can say will. We all work with them people that can hardly walk, sweat like feck and breath heavily and still smash pies into their fat faces for first break in work.

Injury recovery doesn't have alot to do with match fitness.

The reason our players are all fucked during the games lately is because are squad is completely decimated by injuries and people are getting over played.

I'm glad that someone has raised this. Something is not right. Do we know what happened to Bennett and Bryson? How, exactly, they got injured the day before a game.

The Fulham and Preston payers looked fairly fit.

Injuries picked up in a game from a bad tackle or a knock have zero to-do with the training regime.
