Many who used to go to ninian park for its liveliness don’t go these days. Plenty saw us go up last in 2013 and it was shambolic, do they care about promotion anymore? I really don’t think so, crowds are low and I bet most just think we will implode at some point, maybe make the playoffs but inevitably lose out, again. So is it worth more pain so to speak? I wasn’t at the game last night but was driving towards canton before the game and was amazed as there was no traffic at all.....

Forever Blue and Bakedalaska have recently posted comments such as "I won't forgive Tan" and " He turned is back on blue" , I find these comments pathetic and not worthy of a 5 year old child.
They keep on blaming the poor crowds on the colour change. Are we really suggesting that there are about 5,000 fans sitting in front of the television saying "I am a loyal Cardiff city supporter but I am not going to watch because of a decision that Tan took years ago and one that he has now changed", I really don't think so.
Reasons for poor attendances have been given in previous posts and I tend to agree with them but I don't subscribe to the impression given by some people that there is a mass exodus because of the colour issue.
I am afraid that is in the minds of one or two posters on this board who have a couple of mates who have told them that and if they are staying away because of that then pathetic!

Goats, There is so much truth there. I have been speaking to so many City fans who caught be bothered going down there.
It started with Wayne Nash and killing the atmosphere, then the police continually in fans faces, then the Rebrand.
There is a Port Talbot lad over here now and he says, Port Talbot/Neath use to love going down there and away on mass, now hardly any bother anymore and thats just two areas.
City do have a massive problem in getting our crowds back, massive.

Yes and it’s the same all over like with Neath and PT, fans who have been the most loyal right on the doorstep of the enemy too.
Maybe someone needs a proper meeting with Tan about the ground set up, after all whatever he says goes and he can over rule Nash. Don’t know why people think any changes could result in trouble? Those days are long gone as you will go to jail nowadays, not a slap on the wrist and ejected. No one wants jail do they. Improving the atmosphere in the ground will encourage people like the Neath and pt lads to return I’m sure....our supporter have always like a bit of banter with away fans, think it’s in the blood in South Wales......![]()

Tan and rebrand is an exceptable and main excuse for low crowds According to some! But having better things to spend their money on besides football or fact that most people have had no pay rise in 4yrs and seen money tight and priorities change or its to expensive is no excuse for some on here! It's like talking tobut hey ho it keeps them happy

Does the settling down, moving on etc relate to all football clubs? Surely your not saying only Cardiff fans this happens to?

Dont care about other clubs really, I'm sure it does happen at other clubs though. Can only say about the people I've spoke to, I think the core fan base had a good group of fans all around the same age and now some of these people have decided it's family time.
I would think most fans we have lost are because the excitement has gone, pretty much from when Sam case we were progressing, spending money, new leagues, new teams, new expensive signings. Now it's the same old championship, we had the promotion that got people excited for a new league. Now it's back to the championship where we have played for a very very long time.

We had 18K STs when we were in this position last time. We are down to 14K.
Besides my own explanations why I have not received any others why we are down 4K despite being back in Blue.
