I thought tonight's team was a bit of a surprise to be honest. The best thing he could do is to instruct the players to actually keep the ball on the ground at least 20% of the time.

Maybe try passing the ball ?

Or using 4 4 2 with pace ?

Spot on about not keeping the ball on the floor , too many times players were just hitting the ball
High in the air hoping for the best , and not controlling the ball when it came to them from height ,
It was just a total lack of basic skill or perhaps no confidence ???

It's not the formation or players necessarily, it's the attitude to play. You don't need to hoof the ball at every opportunity to stay tight.

This will be orders from Warnock. He has told his keepers to do this everywhere he has managed. He doesn’t like the ball played out from the back.

He always kick it out and half the time into touch. I’ve never seen him throw the ball.

Just go 4-4-2. No point going with 3 in midfield as we cant control it even with 3, so may as well just hit teams on the break with more options around Zohore.
